Ali E. Dashti, Ph.D.

Chairman - KGL Holding

Ali Dashti is currently the Chairman of KGL Holding, a post he has held since February 2007. Ali is responsible for leading and overseeing the operations and affairs of the Board, facilitating proper governance, and ensuring the Board is effective in setting and implementing KGL Holding’s direction and strategy.

Ali brings over 15 years of business, academic and research experience to KGL Holding. He has served as the Chairman & CEO of Axis Solutions Company, one of the successful affiliates of KGL Holding, and guided its growth prior to joining as the Chairman of KGL Holding. He has also served on the Board of Kuwait & Gulf Link Transport Company (2000 - present), Axis Solutions Company (2004 - 2008) and Electronic Learning Services Company (2005 - 2007).

Yaqoub Al-Wazzan

Vice Chairman - KGL Holding

Yaqoub Al-Wazzan serves as the Vice Chairman of KGL Holding, a post he has held since February 2007.

Yaqoub brings over 13 years of business and Government experience to KGL Holding. He has served in numerous leadership positions within the KGL group of companies. He has served as a Board member and Assistant Managing Director of Kuwait & Gulf Link Transport Company (2005 - present). He has also served as the General Manager at Gulf Coast Shipping Services Company (1997 - 2000), Chairman at KGL Logistics (2006 - 2007) and KGL Investment (2007 - 2008), and finally Insurance Controller at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (1999 - 2004).

Yaqoub also served as a Board member for National Cleaning Company (2001 - 2002), Combined Shipping Company (2001 - 2007) and KGL Investment (2007 - present).

Yaqoub earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from Kuwait University in 1996. He is currently an Executive Advisory Board member at KGL Holding.
