KGL Holding in line with the celebration of the Unified Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Traffic Week under the auspices of the Interior Deputy Undersecretary Director-General of the Traffic General Department, Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Al-Dousary, hosted on March 16, 2011, a recognition ceremony at the Hilton Kuwait Resort to honor the GCC delegates to the Traffic Week, Traffic General Department personnel and the organizing committee at the Ministry of Interior. The company for the seventh consecutive year is sponsoring the activities of the Unified GCC Traffic Week from March 13-18 under the theme ‘Let’s work together to avoid traffic accidents’ which aimed at promoting traffic awareness and reducing the number of traffic accidents due to reckless driving. The event was attended by key Ministry of Interior delegates from the European countries.

During the honoring ceremony, key drivers from KGL Holding business units received certificates and monetary award for their exemplary safe driving records. The Trainers of the KGL Driving Academy were also recognized and awarded for their contribution to safe driving and for inculcating optimum road safety standards. Meanwhile, a number of media representatives were honored for their active role in promoting awareness of traffic rules and regulations in the country. The Unified GCC Traffic Week is an annual event is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s campaign of ensuring the optimum safety of the motorists and pedestrians while KGL Holding espousing on the principle of social responsibility gives back to the community it serves through its active participation in this campaign.
