Microsoft Gulf has announced the general availability of Microsoft Lync, the next generation of communications that connects people in new ways across the Middle East region and KGL Holding is the first company in Kuwait to adopt the Lync 2010 technology.

Through its technology associate, Axis Solutions, KGL Holding has implemented Lync 2010 with integration to SharePoint 2010, Exchange 2007, and Office 2010. Lync is a single platform that integrates instant messaging, presence, audio, video, web conferencing and voice to bring people together in the ways they communicate best, with one interface that works with the applications businesses including Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange. Such platform aims at increasing KGL Holding’s employee productivity and decreasing cost through team collaboration and communication across its Business Units locations in Kuwait, as well as providing instant IT support through remote access facility available in Lync 2010.
