Gulf Africa Holding (GAH), an affiliate of KGL Holding, was established in 2008. Being the first affiliate of the group in Africa, the company prides itself as the holder of all Supply Chain Management activities of KGL Holding in the Republic of Sudan. GAH is headquartered in Kuwait with operations in the Republic of Sudan through its investments in the Nile River Transport Company (NRTC), Sudanese River Transport Company (SRTC), and South Sudan Trans Nile Company (SSTC).
GAH’s primary business is river transportation between the North and South of Sudan with activities carried out by its subsidiaries, whereby NRTC and SRTC provide the transportation of passengers, general cargo, fuel, and other goods via the Nile River through the use of their fleet of pushers and barges. This makes GAH the largest river transport operator in Africa.
