Ahmed Afify
Chief Legal Advisor - KGL Holding
Ahmed is the Chief Legal Advisor of KGL Holding.
With twenty years of experience at KGL, he first joined as Attorney at Law and became the Head of Legal Department. During his career, Ahmed Managed the Insurance activities for KGL and later for KGL Companies until he was requested to establish the GUIS Company.
Ahmed is a Holder of BA Law from Egypt and attended several training courses in Law and Insurance.

Ahmed Sadek
Strategic Advisor - Damietta Ports International Co. (DIPCO)
Ahmed was the KGL GSC Vice chairman and Managing Director and also held the position as the Vice Chairman & General Manager of KGL Agriculture since July 2007. He was the Operations Manager for Dashti Co. from 1979 till 1982. Later he was promoted to the Asst. General Manager position at KGL till 1999, still in vision of Kuwait, directing operations, finance and administration as part of his duties.
After Liberation he continued his functions till 2002 where he was promoted to the General Advisor, directing preparation and overseeing all Tenders and Contracts. His contribution to KGL business has been the most significant. In addition, He has participated in the establishment of Gulf Stevedoring Co. in Saudi Arabia in 1986 and contributed to successful management of the following projects: Jubail, Yanbu & Jeddah port. Other than the above he has undertaken the following positions in KGL as General Manager of KGL Stevedoring from 2005 to July 2007, Vice Chairman of Logistics from 2006 to 2007.
Before joining KGL, he worked with League of Arab States as Office Manager Representative of Arab Maritime Academy in Cairo from 1975 to 1979. Ahmed has received a Master degree in Information from Moscow University 1975.

Aladdin Al-Khatib

Aladdin Al-Khatib is the Chief Internal Auditor at KGL Holding.
Aladdin’s experience encompasses more than 15 years with reputable multinational and regional organizations in the field of Audit and Financial Consultancy such as Deloitte & Touche, K.P.M.G, Arthur Andersen, Shanfari Group, and finally Al Rajhi Group of Saudi Arabia until he joined KGL Holding in January 2008. Mr. Al-Khatib has conducted various Audits for a number of the region’s well-known banks, Investment companies and governmental units. The internal Audit function is an objective assurance and consultancy service designed to add value and improve the overall operations across KGL Holding Subsidiaries and Affiliates; it helps the organization to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and improve Risk Management, Controls and Corporate governance.
Aladdin holds a B.Sc. from the University of Jordan, and is a CPA form the United States of America. |

Alawi Taqi
Chairman - International Motors Company
Alawi holds the position of Chairman at IMC.
Being employed in Kuwait National Petroleum Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Co. in Joint Operation in Khafji (Saudi Arabia) since 1985, Alawi underwent extensive experience in all activities of the commercial department of Kuwait National Petroleum Company. Alawi has a total of 23 years of experience in the various divisions including Purchasing, Expediting & Contracts of Commercial department. Apart from normal functions of the Commercial department, Alawi had been an active member of Material Supply Committee, for the formulation of Long Term supply Agreements for KNPC and had been instrumental in the implementation of 31 Agreements to the value of KD 51 million through Supply Chain Management.
Alawi’s education is a Diploma in Banking from the College of Business Studies in Kuwait, Bachelor of Business Administration- Concentration in Management, Magna Cum Laude Cumulative GPA 3.83. Currently, Alawi is pursuing an MBA in his final Year (2008) at the Kuwait Maastricht Business School. Alawi attended several training courses in languages, negotiation skills, time management, cost improvement, purchasing and contract management from reputable institutes in Kuwait, UAE & Europe.

Allan is the Chief Executive Officer at KGL Shipping.
Allan brings 35 years of shipping experience from Maersk. For the past 23 years he has been Country Manager in various places or involved with corporate management on regional level, apart from a short spell of time in 2003 where he was seconded to the US lead coalition forces in Iraq, working as Chief of Staff for southern Iraq, based in Basra.

Esmail is the General Manger of the KGL General Services Co.
He joined KGL in 1984 and worked as Director of KGL Waste Management Projects and was also a member of the KGL Executive Committee. As a Director he has come across many achievements and has given his major contribution in the development and success of what KGL Waste Management Company is today. In 2004 he joined the Gulf Coast Shipping Co as a General Manger to establish and organize the company. As an experienced person with KGL, today he has the entire responsibility of driving KGL General Services Company as a General Manger to a more profitable centre.

Fadhel Al Baghli
Vice Chairman & CBO - KGL Ports International
Fadhel is the Vice Chairman & COO of KGL PI. Fadhel is a specialized senior officer in ports and joined KGL in 2000 till the present date.
His experience encompasses several areas in Ports Management and Operations (Kuwait Ports Authority from 1982–1996) in which he held several positions as Director of Shuaiba Port Container Terminal & Director of Shuwaikh Port Container Terminal.
Fadhel holds a BS in General Business Management/ Marine & Coastal Zone Management, a B.A. in Marine Affairs from the University of Miami School of Marine & Atmospheric Science (1978 – 1981) & Drake University Des Moines- Iowa (1976 – 1978), a Diploma on Port Operations, Planning & Development & Port Management (1984) from Port of Felixtow Institute- Felixtow – England, and a Diploma in Port Management, Singapore (1983-Institute of Singapore for Ports Management). Fahad Al Awadhi
Chief Operating Officer - KGL Passenger Transport Services
Fahad is the Chief Operating Officer at KGL PTS since 2006.
Fahad brings 9 years of extensive experience in core areas including Transportation, Warehousing, and Finance in the local, regional and international markets. His previous position was a General Manager of the City Bus division of the Transport and Warehousing Group (TWG), where he further developed the Public Transport Operations and launched (2006) new Technology through the GPS system, with Mapping Technology-a first in Kuwait. He also held key positions in Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC). At KGL PTS, Fahad undertook the budget development, administration, financial planning and cost control with successful results which led the company to secure its operations in Kuwait and expand to the UAE, for where he serves a Branch General Manager.
Fahad is a member of several professional clubs and associations in Kuwait and abroad in addition to being an active Board Member of KGL Logistics and Kuwait Overland Transport Union. He volunteered as a teacher in Injaz Kuwait - a non profit organization to enhance economic opportunities for the young people. |

Ghassan brings to KGL Holding over 27 years of Technical & Management experience within Logistics, Financial, Automotive, Technology, and Petroleum industries in USA, Middle East & the Gulf region, with leading regional and international organizations, such as World Trade Center Dubai, Agility, Fidelity Investments, IBM, and Halliburton. During his career, Ghassan was awarded for his achievement in strategic usage of IT, such as the Outstanding Achievement in the use of IT in Logistics, by the Arab Technology Awards in 2005.
Ghassan earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles in 1981.

Khaled is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of KGLPTS.
Khaled’s career spans over 12 years of extensive work experience within the transportation, operational and technical fields. Prior to joining KGL, he has held key positions in The Transport and Warehousing Group (TWG), notably in the establishment of the first private Public Transport company, City Bus, and in Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC). He has been instrumental in the Spin-off of KGL Passenger Transport Services, overseeing the operations setup from asset acquisitions to directing manpower recruitment and by launching, monitoring the operation and performance of PTS. Khaled played a key role in developing the KGL PTS core business in Kuwait with reach throughout the MENA region and successfully expanding the company’s operations in the UAE.
Khaled holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University, Washington, U.S.A and is a member of the following professional bodies: UITP (International Association of Public Transport), Kuwait Engineering Society, TLPA – USA (Taxicab, Limousine & Para transit Association), Arab Union of Land Transport and Kuwait Overland Transport Union, of which he is a Board Member. |

Mahesh joined in the year 2002, as Finance controller in Kuwait & Gulf Link Transportation Company. A Key member in the Strategic Restructuring and Turnaround of the Finance Department. Mahesh actively participated and contributed in the spin off process of the KGL Companies. He was responsible for the design and implementation of the present legacy system, which is running successfully in all the KGL Group Companies.

Mansour comes from a solid background in transportation being the acting Managing Director of Kuwait Public Transport Company. Mansour also served the position of Technical Manager, which in turn, provided him a broad experience in the business he is managing in terms of asset utilization, and trucks operations.

Michel joined KGL Holding in September 2007 and is in charge of the Business Development function.
Prior to joining KGL Holding, Michel was a Senior Vice President with Al Mal Investment Company where he was overseeing investments, deal valuation and structuring. Michel also has a solid track record in the Logistics business with Agility where he spent 4 years. He started Agility operations in Qatar and headed the operations for Kuwait and Iraq. Michel has extensive experience in business development and project management in Europe. He spent over 12 years in Paris working with telecom blue-chip companies: Nortel, Cegetel and Sagem. He served in various management and analyst positions including operations management, business development, strategy and Finance. He has on his records the implementation of many major pan-European telecom networks and the startup of several new activities.

Mohammed’s previous experience was with EQUATE Petrochemical Co. as a Supply Chain Director, Kuwait Ports Authority -Superintendent at Shuaiba Container Terminal and United Arab Shipping Company - New York Office, U.S.A. were he held several positions ending with American Container services Manager. During his career with KGL, Mohammed succeeded in expanding the Shuaiba Port business as well as expanding his Company’s operations to include RAK in UAE, and under the process to start in Damietta Egypt during 2008/09 excluding other expansion plans in other ports in Africa and Asia during the coming three years.
Mohammed is a BA graduate form University of Missouri, U.S.A. and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping Management (1982) from the University of Wales, Institute of Science and Technology Cardiff Wales (U.K.) and an MS in Maritime Administration from the World Maritime University in Sweden in 1985. |

Mohammad Mirza

Mohammed is the Chief Technical Officer of the KGL Technical Services Co.. His responsibilities are managing, directing and developing all technical & maintenance operations of KGL equipment.
Prior to joining KGL in 1996, and since 1981, he worked for Kuwait Ports Authority, where he held the position of Maintenance Manager, responsible for Shuaiba Port Maintenance Department. Then after, Mohammed held the position of Assistant Manager of the Shuaiba Container Terminal, where he managed and directed the operation of the maintenance facilities. Mohammed also occupies the position of Chairman at Global United Insurance Co. and is also a board of directors’ member at the International Motors Company (IMC).
Mohammed is a Post Graduate, holding a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Catholic University - Washington D.C. and a BSc. Degree in Navel Architecture & Marine Engineering from University of Michigan. |

Dr. Mohammad Al Sarawi

Dr. Mohammad Al Sarawi is Chairman of Wataniya Environmental Services Co (WES) since 2004.
Dr. Al- Sarawi has more than 25 years of experience in the environmental field. Among his previous positions, Dr. Al- Sarawi served as a Chairman & Director General of the Kuwait Environment Public Authority (from 1996 to 2004) and Chairman of the Environment Protection Society in Kuwait. He created EPA standards including environmental laws.
Throughout his experience, Dr. Al-Sarawi has worked extensively throughout Kuwait, the United States and England. Organizations in Kuwait include Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research (KISR), and Kuwait Environmental Public Authority (KEPA). He served as a visiting professor at Royal Holloway University, London (U.K) in 2001 and Brighton University, U.K (1991). In 1994 -1996, he spent his sabbatical leave at the Center for Remote Sensing at Boston University, U.S.A. as a Researcher for a collaborative Research.
Dr. Al-Sarawi has earned his Master degree in Arid Land Geomorphology from University of Ohio (Athens) in 1976-1978 and Ph.D. degree in Recent Geomorphology of Jal-Az-Zor escarpment from the University of South Carolina (Columbia) in 1978-1980. His professional activities includes board member at the University of South Carolina, U.S.A. and member of the Editorial Advisory Board, for TECHNOLOGY Journal, USA. His research publications include 37 journal articles, 56 Conference proceedings, 9 Books and 50 Technical Reports. |

Nasser has extensive experience in the marine transportation as throughout his career, he has held a number of key positions between 1984 and 2001 as General Manager and MD in different local companies, and later named the Chairman and MD for Combined Shipping Company in March 2001.
Nasser graduated in 1978 from the Royal Air Force College as a helicopter instructor serving in Kuwait Air Force up till 1983. Nasser is also an active board member of Kuwait Shipping & Agents Association and a board member of Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping. |

Dr. Qutaiba Razouqi is the Chairman of Axis Solutions.
Dr. Qutiaba has over 15 years of experience in High speed network design, implementation, and management. He has worked as a System administrator of the Networking & Distributed Algorithms Lab at the Computer Science & Engineering Department at ASU from 1995-1999. He has also performed consultations for Motrolla-USA, ETRI-Korea, and the Central Agency for Information Technology in Kuwait. Robert’s transfer was a result of his experience with KGL as Operations Officer and his previous Automotive and car rental experience in Lebanon and Kuwait. His major achievements in this field were: establishing the car agency with annual sales surpassing $14 million, setting and auditing the agency policies and procedures from scratch, initiating and integrating a new information system, improving the company competitiveness by restructuring corporate priorities, implementing technical training sessions to direct and motivate staff; the company earned the Chairman Award in 1996 and the Outstanding Customer Service and the Best Business Practices Award in 1998.

Samir managed the initiation, planning and implementation process of marketing activity calendars for regional clients like Philip Morris, General Motors, Wataniya Telecom, Al Sayer Group of Companies. Samir implemented ATL & BTL campaigns for newly launched brands such as Al Jazeera Children Network in addition to developing corporate identity & branding exercises for Nasser Bin Khaled Corporation, ID Design in Qatar and finally, and the full planning and implementation process for Kuwait Oil Company 2020 Strategy Internal and external Communication projects.

Waleed Trained at SSH, Kuwait, in cooperation with Shackland Cox, UK, designing the new city of Kheeran and also served as a Res. Lt. in the Army Corp of Engineers in 1989.
Waleed is a U.S. graduate and holds a B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering, (Cum Loude, 1984). Waleed is a Certified environmental impact assessor, and is also a member of the Kuwaiti Engineers Society (since 1984), and a member in the Kuwaiti Delegation to the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (The Hague, 2000 and Kuala Lumpur, 2004). |

Yousif Al Saarawi
General Manager - KGL Stevedoring
Yousif is the General Manager of KGL STV, a subsidiary of KGL Logistics in December 2007. The primary business of KGLSTV is to handle the unloading and loading of Cargo from vessels, and storage of goods in Shuwaikh Port.
Yousif has contributed to maintaining a reputation of a leading Stevedorer in the market. Prior to joining KGL STV, Yousif held the position of Deputy Marketing & Sales Director for Kuwait Airways, leading all Marketing and Sales of the Cargo business locally and abroad. Through his 25 years career experience within such an industry, Yousif lead the re-structuring of Cargo Marketing & Sales. In addition, he was responsible for the Cargo Handling Services within Kuwait Airways network in the state of Kuwait and overseas, building up the Cargo business plan and future expansion for Kuwait Airways.
