The 3rd KGL Annual Conference 2007 was held at the Kempinski Dead Sea Resort in Jordan from December 12-14. The 3 day event brought together top executives from all the KGL Group of Companies, and it was held under the patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Nader Al Dahabi, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The conference highlighted internationally renowned speakers and guests including Nima Abu Wardeh, host of BBC’s Middle East Business Report; author and motivational speaker, Mike Lipkin and Jonathan Lyon, CEO of Burqan Bank. The strategy planning sessions and forum were also attended by KGL’s business and strategic partners from Sudan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt to name a few.

In January 2008, KGL Chairman, Saeed Esmail Dashti, launched the group’s official corporate social responsibility initiative:  KGL Believes.  KGL Believes is made up of a nine person committee of KGL’s emerging leaders:  Khaldoon Al Harmi, Faisal Al Humaidi, Abdulaziz Al Salhi, Heba Al Zain, Samer Bustan, Shahad Dashti, Rania Hussein, Aya Mohammed and Hassan Rawas.  The initiatives vision is “Change in the communities we serve,” and the mission statement is, “KGL is committed to social and environmental change by inspiring, challenging and empowering our people to through ethical and progressive initiatives.” If you have an idea or suggestion for KGL Believes, please email them at kglbelieves@kgl.com
