KGL Holding in association with the Central Blood Bank of Kuwait organized a Blood Donation Drive on February 3, 2010 at the KGL Holding Headquarters in Shuwaikh. The event under the theme ‘Donate blood today, save a life someday’ was in line with the company’s commitment to giving back to society which is part of its social responsibility program to help those who are in need. Employees from various KGL Holding Business Units participated in the event and donated their blood for a noble cause.
A medical team from the Central Blood Bank of Kuwait supervised the blood-letting event to ensure that proper medical procedures were adopted. Moreover, participants were also asked to fill up some forms to ascertain their medical history to guarantee that they would be healthy blood donors.
The Blood Donation Drive is organized by KGL Holding regularly to encourage humanitarian values among its employees and at the same time, promote a healthy lifestyle.
The outpouring support from employees of various KGL Holding Business Units was commendable. It sounded off a strong humanitarian message that people can do their own share in their own small way by doing good deeds for their fellowmen. KGL Holding thanked all those who participated in the event for their support.
